For a number of years, Jerusalem Lodge has been sponsoring a Corporate Team

to raise funds on behalf of the Terry Fox Foundation.

Once again the Terry Fox Run is taking place in Bowmanville on Sunday, Sept.14 and Jerusalem Lodge is again entering a team. As the unofficial team captain, I am sending you this Email to invite you to participate. You can join our team, sponsor the lodge or sponsor a person who is on the team. If you have already made a commitment, thank you so very much. If you have not committed yourself yet, why not take a moment and go to the Lodge Team - Web Page and join us.

As a survivor, now 7 years, and having a daughter with cancer, I am all too aware of what has been done and what still needs to be done. On behalf of those who need your help I am seeking your assistance.

For 3 years, the Jerusalem Lodge team were tops in Bowmanville. Last year, with over $10,000 raised again, we’re in third place. We would really like to get back up top. The local Terry Fox Run committee is hoping to raise $150,000 to coincide with the 150 Anniversary of Bowmanville. In previous years, we have been able to contribute 10% of the total raised by the run. If we are to continue with this record, we will need to raise $15,000. I know that with your help this will be possible.

You can pledge on line at our Lodge Team - Web Page, using a credit card. You will receive a tax receipt the same day. Or, you can send a cheque to the participant of your choice, made out to The Terry Fox Foundation. A tax receipt for donations of $20 or more will receive a tax receipt in the spring.

As many of you sponsor more than one person, if you are making multiple donations of less than $20, ask that a receipt be sent to you if that is your wish.

On behalf of all those who are taking part as well as those who may some day benefit from your donation I thank you. Remember that 90 cents of every dollar raised goes directly to Cancer Research. Maybe your contribution will make the difference in a friend or relative getting the help they need.
