In the mosquito division of BUSC, Jerusalem Lodge (B2) met Continental Currency Exchange (B7),in a semi- final match , at Bowmanville High , Sept. 19. to determine who would move on to the final championship game.
At half-time both teams were scoreless. As the 2nd. half began B7 quickly scored, taking a 1 goal lead. Jerusalem Lodge tied the game with a goal by Taylor Fielding. A hand ball by Continental Currency, resulted in a penalty kick being awarded to Jerusalem Lodge. Taylor Fielding was once again successful in finding the net, giving his team the lead. Brett Snowden, for Jerusalem Lodge, scored what turned out to be the game winner. Continental Currency scored once more before the whistle, making the final score 3-2. Joel Stevens, net keeper for Jerusalem Lodge was outstanding.
Next stop , the championship game.
