Jerusalem Lodge snaps out of two game losing streak with exciting game over Johnson Recreational

Pennfound Park: Jerusalem Lodge No. 31 A.F.&A.M. Bantam boys baseball team dug deep to find a hard earned win at the end of a seven inning complete game over Johnson Recreational.
Trailing by two in the bottom of the 5th, the boy's in blue opened with a deep fly ball to centre field fence by Jeff Walsh for his first triple of the year. Jeff came home on Casey Elliott's double. Casey scored from third base after consecutive singles by Matthew Jubb and Dylan Burnham, tying the game with Johnson Recreational through five innings.

The visitors pulled ahead by one in a well played, bend but don't break defensive gem by Jerusalem Lodge through six innings, lead by strong pitching from Jeff Walsh and Jordan Gaskin.
With 6 minutes before curfew, the Umpires called for the last inning to begin and Jordan pitched a standout, shutout inning with the help of the rest of the boys in blue. Facing six batters in the top half of the inning Jerusalem Lodge made their first out at home plate with a timely tag by Dylan Burnham in a 1 - 2 bunt with runners at third and second. Confidence rising, the boys in blue followed up with two more outs to end their half on a pop fly to Will Zega and Jeff Walsh finishing a 1 - 3 ground ball from Jordan Gaskin.

In the bottom of the 7th, Jerusalem Lodge hacked, whacked and walked their way to a wonderfully entertaining come from behind victory to raise their season record to 4 wins, 3 loses.
Chris Singh started everything off with a walk and Casey Elliott followed with a single to right to bring the tying and winning runs on base. Matthew Jubb reached first on an error and was forced out at second on Dylan Burnham's RBI 6 - 4 grounder. Andrew Lynch toughed out a singled to right to keep the inning alive, moving runners in to scoring position. Scott Pynn finished the night by working the pitcher to an RBI bases loaded walk to end the game.
