From the East




	Greetings Brethren: As you read this, the hot summer is turning into fall. I hope that you had a great summer and are ready pick up from where we left off. The BBQ was a great time. Thanks to our Junior Warden, Bro. John Wheat, W.Bro. Ted Denny and team, it was well received. The Ladies were well entertained with Bro. Ross Metcalf and V.W.Bro. Jack Hartwell as Soloist is always great to hear. V.W.Bro. Keith Billett had a very nice short history of the Lodge activity in this building for over 100 years alone. Grand Lodge was well represented by Jerusalem Lodge and I send a warm and hearty congratulations to R.W.Bro. Bob Jones D.D.G.M. of Ontario District 2006/2007 and to W.Bro. Oswald W Mathurin who has been appointed District Secretary. I know they will do a fine job. This meeting is Past Masters' Night with W.Bro. Bill Paterson presiding over the work of the evening as Master and with all our Past Masters participating. I know it will be a fine evening. I had a very good time at Grand Lodge and had many great visits from within and without the District. If you were unable to attend, know that we missed you and for all the brethren who are shut-in, I hope the summer went well for you. If you need any help or assistance, please let me or any of the Officers know and it will be done. I hope to see you all in September, may the G.A.O.T.U. be with you always.
