Greetings Brethren:

With April showers come May flowers... Spring is here and I hope that our green thumb brethren are at their best.

It was a pleasure to have Bro. Joe Dan Ford Initiated into Masonry at our April meeting. I am sure he is looking forward to the Second Degree. I thank the brethren of Jerusalem Lodge who filled in at the last moment and the Officers for a Degree well done.

I would like to thank the brethren who are planning to attend the Grand Master's Reception on April 21/06. I know it will be a fine evening with Jerusalem Lodge well represented and I welcome the ladies who will be in attendance.

At our May regular meeting W.Bro. John S. McQuaid, Worshipful Master of William James Dunlop Lodge No. 675, Peterborough District will be conferring the First Degree on Mr. Hugh David Francis. This is the bi-annual return visit to our Lodge and it is one I am looking forward to, with Bro. Jim Rees participating. Brethren please attend and keep this fine tradition continuing.

On Saturday May 13, there will be a Pancake Breakfast at 8:00 a.m. and open Lodge at 9:00 to pass all available Brethren to the Second Degree. Continuing later that day, the 2nd Annual Spring Concert, with all proceeds going to the Terry Fox Foundation is at 7:30 pm at St. Paul United Church. Our Annual BBQ is well on the way for June 10 and our Ladies are welcome.

In closing brethren, thank you for all your support this year. To the Brethren who are shut-ins and in distress, may the G.A.O.T.U. always shine upon you.
