From the East




	Greetings Brethren: At our February 10, 2006 meeting we had a fine 1st Degree and welcomed Brian Elston into Freemasonry in general and Jerusalem Lodge in particular. I thank the brethren who supported him and look forward to his advancement when he is passed to the Fellowcraft Degree. This month will be the Official Visit of our District Deputy Grand Master, R.W.Bro. Thomas H. Hogg. The plans for the evening are to open at 6:00, dispense with most of the business, call the Lodge off from labour to refreshment for the purpose of an early banquet at 6:30 pm and enjoy the fellowship of our brethren while we welcome our guests. And when we call ourselves back to labour we plan to Pass Bro. John Davidson to the Fellowcraft degree. Let us show our support for Bro. Davidson and our lodge with your attendance. Please let the Junior Warden, Bro. John Wheat, know if you plan to attend the banquet. Brethren, the District Members Night will be held on March 21, 2006 at Hope Lodge No. 114 in Port Hope. Bro. William Sinclair has consented to represent our Lodge at that meeting and it would be nice for a couple of carloads of members to support Bill. R.W.Bro. Sam Hutnyk will be conducting the degree. I would like to remind the Brethren of the District Lodge of Instruction to be held at the Oshawa Lodge building on April 1, 2006. I encourage our new Officers to attend, as it should be quite an interesting day. Please inform the Secretary of your intentions as far as they pertain to the Grand Master's Reception to be held at the Cobourg Lions Centre. Tickets are $30.00 each and our ladies are welcome to attend. I hope most of the Brethren will be attending. If you require transportation to these events please let me know. In closing Brethren, remember help is only a phone call away. To our members who are unable to attend or are in ill and distressed circumstances, may the G.A.O.T.U. be with you.
