Brethren:
I hope you all had a joyous holiday season. As winter sets in, whether you are making your way to lodge, or going about your daily activities, make sure to bundle up warmly, and watch your footings as you make your way across those pesky patches of ice.
I hope everyone had a great time at installation; the dinner was excellent. That was one the thick cut of prime rib. We heard some great work from the Past Masters taking part. We also received some insightful words from R.W.Bro. Ray Daniels & R.W.Bro. Iain Oliver.
I would like to express my appreciation to everyone for their efforts. From what I could see, it takes a lot of hard work from a lot of people to put on an Installation. Although there wasn't much for me to do; when W.Bro. Tom Barrie said the words "the lodge is now yours" ... I must have looked like a deer caught in the headlights.
With the holidays behind us, I have been going over the upcoming Masonic year. It looks like we will have a lot of opportunity for fellowship. While we have our regular & emergent meetings, there will also be many opportunities for visiting other lodges. With the size of our trestle board, we are in a position to ‘farm out’ some of our Fellowcraft degrees. This will provide even more opportunities for visiting; as we support our brethren being raised at nearby lodges.
I look forward to seeing a lot of familiar faces at our regular January meeting, and the Emergent Meeting on January 23rd, which is being held to raise Bro. Sean Howard. This will enable me to appoint Sean to the Junior Stewards chair.
Best Fraternal Regards W.Bro. John Wheat
