Brethren:
We’re off to a great start. We accomplished two degrees last month. January saw one Initiation, and one Raising.
Our Regular meeting was the Initiation of Bro. Don Gauvreau. Don was an excellent candidate, and I am looking forward to seeing him at work in the Lodge. Please join me in wishing him success in his Masonic career.
Our Emergent meeting was the Raising of Bro. Sean Howard. I have been looking forward to Bro. Howard’s Raising for some time now; and I wasn’t disappointed. Sean’s enthusiasm is inspiring; and I will be pleased to appoint him to the Junior Steward’s chair once he has proved himself. I hope to reward Sean’s efforts, with opportunities to do work in the Lodge whenever possible.
Last month, also saw a History installment from V.W.Bro. Keith Billet. How fortunate we are to have a brother who has: the interest, the time, and the skill’s to research our Lodge’s history, and to present it in such a compelling manner. Keith revealed some interesting facts about the Lodge, and one of our most prominent members; and, as usual, left us wanting to hear more. Stay tuned for more History in the upcoming months.
Although February is the shortest month, we’re still going to perform two degrees; but, this time we don’t need an Emergent meeting to do it. February will see the Passing of the Father and Son team of Henry & Jacob Kroon, in a Double Second. Please reward yourself by coming out to Lodge this month to support the Bros. Kroon’s and your Officers.
If time permits, we may even get a chance to hear some more history. Where did all that furniture come from?
Best Fraternal Regards W.Bro. John Wheat
